100th Anniversary Celebrations
Throughout 2026, Creative Mojo is running a year-long art competition celebrating iconic individuals who would be marking a key 100th anniversary in their lives.
Residents will take part in a series of guided art projects inspired by the 100th anniversaries of well-known figures from history, culture, literature, entertainment and the natural world. Each project uses these centenary celebrations as a starting point for creativity, conversation and reminiscence, and is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all abilities.
Artwork is submitted in themed competition blocks, with winners selected at random and receiving 50 professionally printed postcards featuring their own designs.
Residents who take part in every centenary project across the year will also be awarded a printable Certificate of Outstanding Contribution to Art at the end of the programme.

HER MAJESTY
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II would have celebrated her landmark 100th Birthday this year. To honour her lifetime of unwavering service, we mark this momentous date with a special new 100th Anniversary project dedicated exclusively to the memory of the late Queen.
DAVID ATTENBOROUGH
We mark the centenary of Sir David Attenborough, the nation’s beloved naturalist. Since 1952, his groundbreaking broadcasts have revealed the natural world’s wonders to millions. A true pioneer, he remains the tireless champion of our planet’s biodiversity.

BRITISH GRAND PRIX
This year marks the historic 100th Anniversary of the very first British Grand Prix. To honour a century of speed, innovation, and racing excellence, we are launching a prestigious new 100th Anniversary project dedicated exclusively to the legacy of this inaugural race and the enduring heritage of British motorsport.

GERTRUDE EDERLE WAS THE FIRST WOMAN TO SWIM THE ENGLISH CHANNEL.
Queen of the Waves" Gertrude Ederle became the first woman to swim the English Channel in 1926. We celebrate the centenary of her triumph with a creative project honouring her endurance, notably smashing the existing men’s record by over two hours.
